## What IdentityCheck Does

IdentityCheck enables accountants, bookkeepers, lawyers, and other regulated professionals to verify client identities without leaving their existing software. The product reads contact data from the connected platform, sends the client a mobile-friendly verification request, runs biometric ID checks and AML screening (PEP, sanctions, adverse media) in the background, and writes results back to the originating platform automatically. ## AUSTRAC Relevance

Australia's AML/CTF Act 2006 is being expanded under Tranche 2 reforms to include accountants, lawyers, real estate agents, and other designated non-financial businesses and professions (DNFBPs). From 1 July 2026, these firms must enrol with AUSTRAC, implement an AML/CTF program, conduct customer due diligence (CDD), and maintain identity verification records. IdentityCheck automates the customer identification and verification component of this obligation, including biometric document checks, liveness detection, PEP and sanctions screening, and audit-ready record storage.
