Overview

The integration enables accounting practices using MYOB GreatSoft to initiate identity verifications directly from a client’s record. Using IdentityCheck, clients complete a biometric verification process (selfie and government-issued ID capture) that updates their records in MYOB GreatSoft and notifies administrators of the verification status.

Step-by-step guide

Here are some instructions to get you started with your first verification.

Preparation

These steps will create the appropriate settings you need inside GreatSoft

1. Create an IdentityCheck account.
2. Setup: OAuth Authentication
   • Objective: Establish a secure connection between IdentityCheck and MYOB GreatSoft.
   • Action:
     • Navigate to the IdentityCheck integrations page.
     • Complete the OAuth setup process to authenticate and authorize the integration.

3. We will create the necessary fields in GreatSoft for you to auto-trigger an ID check.
4. Configuration: Email Templates & Check Types
   • Branded Verification Emails: Configure email templates so that verification emails reflect your firm’s branding.
   • Reminder Emails: Set up automated reminder emails to prompt clients to complete pending verifications.
   • Check Types: Define the specific types of verification checks (e.g., selfie capture, ID document upload) that the client must complete.

Once these are complete, proceed to request your first verification.

Step 1: Open a GreatSoft Contact

Choose a GreatSoft contact you can test KYC with – e.g. yourself and open the client verifications tab within the client’s record.

Step 2: Trigger the IdentityCheck for your chosen Contact

• Create a new verification entry.
• Important: Include the tag {{kyc}} in the notes field. This tag acts as a trigger for IdentityCheck.

Automated Scanning:

• • IdentityCheck scans MYOB GreatSoft accounts every hour.
  • When a verification entry containing {{kyc}} is detected, IdentityCheck automatically initiates the verification process.

IdentityCheck will read the Contact’s Name and Email address. Optionally, if you have a mobile number we can also read this for text messaging.

Step 3: Branded email is sent to the Contact

You can add your company logo and preferred wording in the KYC email customization settings.

Step 4: Contact completes Identity Check

The Contact opens a guided web browser session to take a picture of their Government-issued ID and a selfie.

Step 5: Track results via the GreatSoft Contact Notes

Update Client Verification Record: Upon successful verification, IdentityCheck updates the client’s record in MYOB GreatSoft with the verification details.

Notify Administrators:

• • Administrators receive an email notification summarizing the verification check status.
  • This ensures that practice managers remain informed about the client’s identity verification progress.
  • Set up Internal Notifications here.

Step 6: Review detailed results

If you are an IdentityCheck user, you can log in to see the KYC result.

If you have AML screening such as Adverse Media, PEP, and Sanctions, you can review the result on the same page.
