Ignition vs StackGo

Ignition is built for verification at the moment a client signs. StackGo is built for a compliance record that lives in your practice system.

What each product does, the facts side by side, and which firms each suits.

Facts checked against Ignition's own published sources on 22 Aug 2026.

What Ignition is

A proposal, engagement letter and billing platform for accounting firms, with 8,500 customers. In June 2026 it added identity verification at the point a client signs, provided by ComplyCube inside an Ignition-branded workflow.

Where StackGo fits

The record lives in your practice system. StackGo writes each check's status back to the client record in Xero Practice Manager, Karbon, FYI or MYOB. Ignition's own documentation says "Compliance currently lives only inside Ignition."

Evidence kept with the check. On Growth plans and above, StackGo writes the collected details and a PDF of each check back to the client record.

Multi-entity clients. A company, its trust and the people behind both are the usual Australian accounting client, and Growth plans and above handle them together.

Where Ignition fits

Verification at signing. The client verifies when they sign the engagement, inside a step they are already taking.

Linked to billing. Service delivery, and so billing, waits until verification passes.

Nothing new to buy. For existing customers it is a setting inside software they already use. Its Enhanced check costs A$10 and covers biometric identity verification, proof of address, PEP and sanctions screening, and ongoing monitoring.

Which suits your firm

Ignition suits firms already using it whose clients are mostly individuals or single-director companies, who want verification to happen at signing without a separate tool, and who are content for the compliance record to sit in Ignition.

StackGo suits firms that want a compliance record that lives in your practice system. You can start free without a sales call.
